Why We Exist
When organizations outgrow themselves, three things break, in sequence. Most firms solve one. Novum rebuilds all three, as one team, accountable for the outcome.
01 · Strategy
The plan that worked at $5M won't work at $15M.
The strategy that got you here was built for a smaller version of the organization. It no longer fits the market you now operate in, and the leadership team is executing hard on a plan nobody fully believes anymore.
02 · Systems
Finance and HR built for a smaller org are failing.
Month-end close drags. Restricted funds get miscoded. Payroll compliance is a risk you know you're carrying. Handbook and comp bands don't exist. The systems holding the organization up were never designed for this scale.
03 · Structure
Too few people are carrying too much.
Every decision still routes through the founder, the ED, or the senior pastor. There is no room to think, no bench to rely on, no margin to lead from. That isn't scale. That's a ceiling, and the people carrying it are running out of reserve.
Novum rebuilds all three, as one firm, accountable for the outcome.
If any of this sounds familiar, we should talk.
A Strategy Firm With Operational Depth
Most firms hand you a deck and disappear. We sit in the room, build the strategy with you, and then run the financial and people systems that make the plan executable. One firm. One team. Accountable for outcomes.
01 · STRATEGIC CONSULTING
We sit with your leadership team, run the 4-S diagnostic, build the operating model, and write the strategy with you, not for you. Then we stay long enough to make sure it lands.

The organizations we serve carry mandates bigger than their balance sheets. They deserve the same caliber of strategic and operational excellence that the Fortune 500 takes for granted. They have not historically received it. That is why Novum exists.
Everything entrusted to us should be multiplied, not just preserved. Every resource, every opportunity, every relationship should return more than it was given. We are not here to play it safe. We are here to multiply.
Vendors deliver tasks. A firm takes accountability for outcomes.
Strategic Guides
We see what is coming before our clients do. We expand the capacity of organizations in their moment of history so they can step into everything they were made to be.
Expert Operators
We execute day-in, day-out work with precision that protects and multiplies what has been entrusted to these organizations. Monthly closes that are accurate. Payroll that is on time, every time. Compliance that is airtight.
Redemptive Partners
We do not treat the organizations we serve as accounts or transactions. We partner alongside them not just to manage books or fix processes, but to see their mission flourish. That is redemptive work, and we take it seriously.
You have outgrown generalist advisors and patchwork vendors. You need a partner who understands your sector from the inside and can operate at the scale your mission now demands.
Operating at the intersection of profit and purpose. A mission that cannot be reduced to a profit motive changes how every strategic recommendation is framed. We understand that.

Client Outcomes
Three organizations. The same strains. One framework.
Month-end close was taking 6 weeks. Restricted funds were commingled with operating funds. The board had lost confidence in the numbers. The executive pastor was spending 30% of his time chasing financial data instead of leading.
What we did: Assessed the full financial landscape in 3 weeks. Rebuilt the chart of accounts. Migrated to a new system. Implemented fund accounting with proper restricted fund coding. Trained the internal team. Took over the monthly close.
The result: Books now close by the 10th business day. The board receives financials they trust. The executive pastor is back to leading. The finance committee chair said it was the first time in 15 years he felt truly informed.

No employee handbook. No compliant onboarding process. Payroll was being processed by an office manager using spreadsheets. Two wrongful termination claims in 18 months. The best people were leaving because there was no structure to support them.
What we did: Assessed the full people systems landscape. Built a compliant employee handbook. Restructured the org chart. Migrated payroll to a proper platform. Implemented benefits administration. Created onboarding and offboarding protocols. Trained hiring managers.
The result: Zero compliance incidents since engagement. Voluntary turnover dropped. The entire HR function was built and is run by Novum for 35% less than the market cost of an internal hire, with higher execution. The organization redirected those savings to fill other critical leadership gaps instead.

Five years without a strategic plan. Product lines had multiplied without evaluation. Revenue was flat while costs were climbing. The leadership team was asking hard questions no one could answer confidently. The founding vision was still there. The relevance was not.
What we did: Conducted a full organizational health assessment using the 4-S Framework. Facilitated stakeholder engagement across leadership, department heads, and the board. Built a 3-year strategic plan with measurable milestones. Restructured the business portfolio. Realigned the budget to strategy.
The result: Three underperforming lines of business sunset. Two new offerings launched aligned to core mission. Revenue grew 18% in the first year of plan execution. The board chair called it "the most aligned this organization has been in a decade."

The questions leaders ask before they call.
Novum Partners is a strategic management firm serving faith-driven businesses, churches, and nonprofits. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, Novum delivers integrated Consulting, IT Strategy, Finance and Accounting, and HR services under one accountable team. The firm exists to strategically guide and steward the resources of organizations built for good, for the goodness of all humanity. Novum operates as Strategic Guides, Expert Operators, and Redemptive Partners across engagements that typically span 12 to 36 months. Core engagement size is $5M to $250M in annual revenue. Novum is not a CPA firm, a search firm, a PEO, or a broker. The firm sits on the leadership side of the table, sets strategy, builds the operating model, embeds fractional executive leadership, and stays in the cadence until the work compounds.
Brad Hobbs, Ph.D. founded Novum Partners in 2023. Brad serves as CEO and Founder. He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Change Management and brings over 15 years advising mission-driven organizations across four continents from Fortune 500 to global nonprofits to top 10 churches. Before founding Novum, Brad held senior operating and advisory roles across the faith-driven sector, with sustained work in church operations, nonprofit governance, kingdom-aligned investing, and international development. He is married to Lauren, lives in San Antonio with their children, and serves as the public face of the firm in keynotes, board advisory, and the most senior client relationships. Brad's leadership style is direct, frameworks-driven, and anchored in long-term stewardship rather than transactional consulting.
Novum Partners is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. The firm serves clients across the United States with a fully distributed senior team and on-site engagement when the work requires it. San Antonio is the operational base; the client base spans evangelical churches across most regions, nonprofits operating in every major US market, and faith-driven businesses headquartered from Texas to the Mountain West to the Eastern Seaboard. For multi-state and multi-campus engagements, Novum's leaders travel to the client site for board meetings, leadership intensives, strategic planning sessions, and the operating reviews that benefit from being in the room. The remainder of the work is delivered remotely with the same standards and the same named senior leaders.
Novum Partners engagements are tailored to context and scoped at proposal. Monthly investment starts at $1,000 per month and scales with the depth of the engagement, the size of the organization, and the verticals included (Consulting, IT Strategy, Finance and Accounting, HR with Payroll as a subset). A small church or nonprofit running HR Advising as a standalone tier sits near the floor. A faith-driven business engaging Consulting, Finance and Accounting at the Strategic tier, and full-service Payroll with multi-state coverage sits substantially higher. Novum does not publish a price book. Every prospect receives a proposal that lays out scope, tier selection, fractional executive seats, multi-state surcharges where applicable, and the projected monthly investment for the first 12 months of engagement. Pricing is transparent inside the proposal and locked at engagement letter.
Novum Partners is a strategic management firm, not a CPA firm. Inside the Finance and Accounting vertical, Novum's controllers and account managers hold CPA and CMA credentials, and the firm operates as a financial advisory and operating-services practice. Novum does not prepare tax returns, sign audit opinions, or perform attestation work. Those functions belong with the client's CPA firm or external auditor. Where the client does not already have a CPA, Novum maintains a vetted network of CPA partners and coordinates the handoff. The practical model: Novum runs the books, holds the monthly close to standard, builds the audit binder, drafts the Form 990 package, and partners directly with the CPA on tax filings and audit fieldwork. Two firms, one operating cadence, clean lines of accountability.
